History
SOLICO was established in 1966 and commenced business servicing the booming construction industry of the UAE by providing the market with GRP products. This formed the foundation for the company’s growth amd expansion.
| 2000 | Moved to a 220,000 sqft manufacturing facility in Jebel Ali, Dubai, to enable us to modernize and expand our manufacturing capabilities to include Polyurethane Molding, Hot Pressed Molding MC Hot Press Compression Molding and Thermoforming to manufacture a variety of OEM products for many internationally reputable brands. |
| 2001 | The Boat Business Unit ASIS, was launched by leveraging its expertise in Fiber Wet and Pre-Preg Lay-up for OEM manufacturing, Rigid Inflatable Boats for Zodiac (France), Asis (UAE/New Zealand) and OceanCraft Marine (USA). |
| 2003 | Started Phase II of the manufacturing facility expansion to increase our capabilities for new ventures. |
| 2004 | The Water Sports Business unit, SWS, was launched. The company capitalized on its expertie in compression molding and Polyurethane Molding to enter the boards sports industry and manufacture a variety of OEM products for many internationally reputable sports brands |
| 2012 | Introduced the Hot Pressed manufacturing of GRP Panel Type Water Tanks. Solico Tanks switched from being a distributor to a full-fledged manufacturer and supplier of GRP Water Tanks. |
| 2016 | 50th anniversary of SOLICO. This historical journey has resulted in SOLICO Composites achieving a highly credible reputation as a custom converter and manufacturer of quality thermoset compounds for moulders and OEMs. |
| 2019 | Phase III manufacturing facility expansion to 400,000 sqft in order to meet increasing demand for new ventures. |
| 2020 | Solar Panels were installed on the Jebel Ali facilities’ roof reducing our carbon footprint. |
